Di Marzio: Milan reach agreement with Bonaventura over extension of current deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Giacomo Bonaventura regarding the extension of his contract until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old midfielder’s current contract is set to expire on June 30, but Gianlucadimarzio.com reports that he has reached an agreement with the Rossoneri to extend his deal until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Given the postponement of the season finale until August, the player will sign a two-month extension to the effective close of the Serie A season.

Bonaventura gave full availability in the negotiations, and only after the end of the season will the former Atalanta star decide his next destination.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier on Monday that Torino are insisting strongly on trying to sign Bonaventura. Roma do not present a concrete option at present while his old side Atalanta are stalling on their pursuit, so the Granata are ready to make a decisive assault for the midfielder.
