Di Marzio: Milan trying to follow up Rebic purchase with €30m Brazilian

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could follow up the signing of Ante Rebic with a move for Shakthar Donetsk star Taison, according to a report.

With the transfer window ready to slam shut on Monday, Milan’s mercato has once again burst to life on Sunday afternoon.

Both Sky Italia (via Di Marzio) and Sky Germany are reporting that Milan have almost completed the signing of midfielder Ante Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt.

They state that the player has been left out of Sunday’s Bundesliga game by his own request and he is set to travel to Italy to formalise his move to the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio is claiming that a move for Taison of Shakhtar Dontesk remains alive.

The Brazilian veteran has a €30million release clause, and Shakhtar do not want to sell him for anything less, with Milan’s offer currently lower than that amount.

The agent of Taison recently told Brazilian outlet GloboEsporte that the Rossoneri did make an offer to his client that was rejected.

“Milan has put forward a first proposal but it has not been accepted. We are waiting for another,” he said, via MilanNews.it.

The 31-year-old scorred three goals and added 12 assists in the Ukranian Premier League last season, playing as an attacking midfielder.
