Di Marzio: Milan turn attentions to summer market after missing out on Olmo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are now focusing more on potential summer signings after missing out on Dani Olmo to RB Leipzig, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

TMW offered more information on the terms of the agreement, claiming that the Bundesliga leaders will pay a fixed fee of €35million, with €15m in achievable bonuses, for a total of €50m – plus a 25% sell on clause in favour of the Croatian side.

Di Marzio gave some information about Milan’s market during his segment on Sky Italia on Thursday night (via MilanNews.it) and suggested that movement late in the current window is unlikely.

He confirmed that Olmo is one step away from Leipzig and that their offer has been accepted because they met the requests of the Croatian club and the players’ agents.

If another similar situation arises whereby Milan could swoop quickly and secure a talented youngster before January 31 then they may move, however are now thinking more about potential signings for the summer.
