Di Marzio: Milan ‘want to untie the Krunic knot’ as player pushes to leave

AC Milan want to figure out a solution to the Rade Krunic saga but time is running out and no offers have yet arrived, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The rumours surrounding a potential exit for Krunic have been doing the rounds for a couple of weeks now with Fenerbahce believed to have an agreement with the midfielder over personal terms.

According to what Di Marzio is reporting, Milan ‘want to untie the Krunic knot’ given there is now just a week left before the transfer window slams shut and the squad is locked in until January.

The player for his part is ‘pushing to go to Fenerbahce’ as per the journalist, but at the moment ‘no concrete offers ‘have arrived from the Turkish club.

Milan are still willing to wait and evaluate bids for a short time, but once that has elapsed they will not listen to any offers, presumable because of the little time they would have to replace Krunic.

  1. It’s getting to that point now that its too late to sell him. Less than a week left, serie a started and how can you bring in an instant starter

  2. I’m even forced to admit it may be too late. Unless we find someone that is a ready deal. Someone suggested Federico Redondo, but we know he couldn’t start right away.

    1. Yes its too late. Season started, krunic played the whole preseason. Unrealistic, that we change at this late moment. It would be a huge gamble to bring a now Player who has to Start in the Next Game from beginning

    2. There are plenty of options out there
It is never too late to sell fodders
As long as we sell Krunic I would be fine even with Pobega starting in his spot

  3. They made the whole preseason with Rade as DM and then they are willing to sell Rade? Lol
In the words of Netero – thats a bad move-

    If only Benny was fit

    1. I too want Dominguez despite people criticizing him in the game he played against us. He looked more like a player who wanted to leave Bologna.

In fact Dominguez + Federico Redondo for me.

    2. Did you watch the bologna game? I was on the Dominguez train but he looked so much worse than Krunic. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who felt Dominguez was the worst player on the pitch that day. It’s kind of cooled me off on swapping Krunic for him.

      1. Dominguez looked more like a player who didn’t want to be there. I’m pretty sure Thiaw didn’t have a great game when Schalke lost 6-1 before he joined us.

To me he looked like a player that would have wanted to join us. Overall Bologna played poorly.

        1. That speaks to a larger problem of professionalism. Krunic has been pushing to leave but still put in a proper shift and completed 95% of his passes. If you’re going to mail it in on pitch because you’re unhappy with management or your situation, you are not a player worthy of wearing the red and black.

          1. Krunic is painfully mediocre though. And passing back to the keeper is why you shouldn’t consider his pass completion rate. He’s such a limited player and almost banter era level.

  4. Kind of late to be offloading Krunic, ain’t it? Would need a replacement and time for that replacement to gel in… Backwards way of doing things. Not Furlani’s way.

Safe to say that unless Fene are throwing cash at our doorsteps, Krunic will stay another season.

      1. Fenerbahce IS offering an outrageous sum
7 million is too much for this Serie B player who is a waste of space and salary

        Take the money and run

  5. Krunic gets the kind of minutes that all the cry babies would love to have yet he’s still crying. Get rid of him.

This team will never recover from Maldini’s failure to keep Kessie.

  6. When people talk about pass completion rates, realize most of the time Krunic is backpassing or passing back to the keeper. He has such marginal effectiveness as a DM. It’s why our defense sometimes falls under pressure.

  7. Hahahaha . What do you expect from fener offer ? They will offer 20m euro??? Nope they are just offer below 10 m euro . Not worth considering the risk panic buying to find his replacement. Just reject this fener offer and let them sign dominques, case close. According to daniele longo until this day fener never make official offer to ACM for krunic and they want waiting till last day transfer market

  8. FFS sell him already
Anybody would do better than him, even Pobega
Even if we dont sign a DM after we sell Krunic… we still have Adli, Musah even Reijnders who can fill in
Heck worst-case scenario we can even try Thiaw ala Thiago Silva in midfield

  9. Can’t see us selling Krunic this late in the window. No way Pioli let’s the guy who he trusts and has been relying on/starting every game and won’t even sub him out – leave now. Perhaps in January under the right conditions – I.e., Benny returns to fitness early, Musah or Adli show they can play that position etc….but highly unlikely and I do think Benny will eventually be sold to SA either in January by summer.

Whats concerning is waiting till last week of window to get a #9 when you knew you were not going to rely on Origi this season and Columbo is still green and needs to be loaned out…Risky

  10. as much as average he is, he still got his worth. i’m okay with him staying. he know the limit of his own ability. so he played super safe with the ball. but as milan now got more attack minded personel, i think it’s fine to have krunic played it super safe. can’t have all of the midfield to take risk and him misplaced many pass in his position would be bad.

    1. So funny. You dont even know krunic from empoli not brescia ? Go sleep kid , tomortow you must go to school tomorrow morning. Dont forget play with your kid friend , it is better than type useless comment in sempre milan. Wkwkwk

  11. It’s never too late to find a replacement. If Krunic wants to leave then keeping him against his will can be a bigger problem for Milan.

If Fenerbahce gives us 10-15m we should use it to get Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich with a loan with obligation or option to buy.
