Di Marzio: Milan’s January striker plan remains despite Jovic resurgence

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan would like to sign a striker as early as the January window if the conditions are right, but in the meantime some encouraging signs have come from Luka Jovic.

Gianluca Di Marzio spoke on Sky (via MilanNews) about the Frosinone game, making the point that the goal meant a lot for Jovic as it not only got him off the mark for the Rossoneri but also helped him in his desire to prove himself to the management.

The journalist stated that ‘in last few games Jovic has given positive responses’ such as the pass to Theo Hernandez for the penalty won against Fiorentina, hitting the post against Borussia Dortmund and then the goal and assist against Frosinone.

However, this is unlikely to change Milan’s strategy in view of next months, as Di Marzio added: “Under certain conditions, Milan would like to sign a striker as early as January.” No names were mentioned, but the ‘conditions’ are highly likely to be economic in nature.
