Monza are still in talks with AC Milan about signing Lorenzo Colombo this summer but the key to the deal is with Mehdi Taremi and Porto, a report claims.
As has been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, the Brinazoli are serious about bolstering their attack with Colombo but are being forced to wait.
Milan want to sign Taremi from Porto before they let Colombo, as they need at least one striker behind Olivier Giroud and can’t risk being left with none.
It is not clear whether it would be a loan or a permanent deal for Colombo, but Monza need a striker after Andrea Petagna moved to Cagliari.
The main stumbling block between Milan and Porto centres on the structure of the €15m payment and the bonuses, but talks are actively ongoing.
Milan want to get the deal done quickly as he is a non-EU player and will have more paperwork to complete.
A loan yes as it could help his development but it better not be a permanent sale but it wouldn’t really make sense either because wasn’t colombo on the brink of a renewal with us as well.
I feel milan will stay without any italian player at the end…
