Di Marzio: Milan reignite interest in Tottenham defender – talks opened

By Isak Möller -

After missing out on Sven Botman, AC Milan are looking to reinforce the defence with a less expensive player and several names have been linked with them recently. The latest is Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga.

Stefano Pioli and the management have more or less decided to focus on the Kalulu-Tomori couple for next season, but a signing is still needed from a numerical point of view. That is, of course, due to Alessio Romagnoli’s exit.

As said, Milan are now seemingly looking for an inexpensive solution and according to Gianluca Di Marzio, they have reignited their interest in Tanganga. The Spurs defender wants more playing time and is thus willing to leave, having struggled at the club.

Milan have held initial talks with the centre-back’s agents but there have been no contacts with Tottenham yet. It remains to be seen, therefore, if the interest is concrete enough to generate an official attempt from the Rossoneri.
