Donnarumma on Inter clash: “We are all excited and aware that we will have to play a great game”

AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is looking forward to the spectacle that Sunday’s derby against Inter should provide.

The eyes of Italy and football fans around the world will be glued to San Siro on Sunday afternoon as the Rossoneri meet the Nerazzurri with the two sides currently occupying the top two places in Serie A.

Milan have been top for the vast majority of the season – since the early rounds in fact – but at the weekend they were surpassed by Inter, who beat Lazio to take advantage of the Diavolo’s slip-up against Spezia.

Donnarumma spoke to Sky Italia two days before the game and gave his thoughts on what promises to be an enthralling instalment of such an illustrious rivalry.

“It’s a great emotion, it was a long time since we had a derby with this ranking,” he said (via MilanNews).

“We are all excited and aware that we will have to play a great game to a positive result at home. I hope we will play a great game, if I close my eyes I hope Ibra will be decisive.”
