Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz would cost AC Milan the same sort of fee as Carney Chukwuemeka would have if he had joined, a report claims.
As has been reported by TMW this evening, the Rossoneri are going to have their work cut out if they are going to make a move for Luiz work this summer.
Milan were heavily linked with Chukwuemeka for a few weeks but he has since signed for Chelsea. The bid from the Blues was for £20 million which would have been too much for Milan.
The issue is that in order for the Villains to let go of Luiz, it will take a bid of a similar figure. Given he can be signed on a free transfer next summer, the Rossoneri are highly unlikely to splash that kind of money on the Brazilian.
Villa will not be so desperate to let him go anymore either given they are running low in that position.
