Elgoldigital: Atletico Madrid demand €25m for Milan target

By Euan Burns -

Atletico Madrid are set to demand a fee of €25 million for Spanish striker Alvaro Morata who AC Milan are keen on signing in the summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Spanish website elgoldigital.com (Calciomercato.it), Atletico Madrid are not willing to lose their striker on a cut-price deal.

The former Juventus player has been heavily linked with Milan in recent weeks as the Rossoneri seek more depth in attack, but €25 million could prove to be a prohibitive price tag as far as Milan are concerned.

It is reported that Milan would be looking for a deal in the region of €12-15m if they were to buy Morata. Juventus are also keen on bringing him back to the club and other teams are in the mix too, which will only cause the price to rise.

Morata has managed to score 15 goals and get three assists so far this season with a handful of games still to play.

  1. Why would we waste a cent on a guy like Morata who scores goals at a rate consistent with a journeyman moving between relegation battlers.

He must have a spectacular manager to continually play for and be linked to all of these big clubs.

There are 4 or 5 strikers in Italy alone who would come cheaper and who could be relied on to score more goals. It starts with Nzola, Beto, Dia and Zapata. Shit, might as well thrown in Arnautovic, too.

  2. 25m euro for mediocre player? He have failed in many club. Better go de paul for AMF and no 10 in ATM

  3. I am an Atleti supporter, and Morata is so… useless. He does two things – gets caught offside, and dives. If we get an offer of 25 pence take it.
