Tuttosport: Elliott want to leave Milan with a bang – they would fund De Ketelaere deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Elliott Management are determined to leave AC Milan with a bang and they are likely to foot the bill for the next summer signing, a report claims.

Milan officially confirmed RedBird Capital’s takeover of the club back on June 1 after Elliott Management decided to sell the majority of their shares. The club announced the highly-anticipated deal on their website, and the statement said that the transition to the new ownership will take place over the summer with an expected closing date of no later than September 2022.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has a section headlined with the following: “Elliott want to leave Milan with a bang”. Before selling the majority of the club to RedBird, the American fund and the Singer family would like to close their time at the Rossoneri with a big market signing in De Ketelaere, which would one of the most expensive in their tenure.

    1. Sanches and Botman was hyped by media. Maldini never confirm Milan attempting to sign them this summer. In fact, Ambrosini already revealed that Maldini told him that he doesn’t plan to spend on center-back due to the emergance of Kalulu. When asked by interviewer at early June, Maldini downplayed Botman rumour, he said there are many good players in center-back role.

As for CdK, Maldini himself said that the negotiation is going well and there is trust between the clubs. CdK is the only one after Origi which has confirmation from Maldini, not just media speculation.

    1. It’s this summer, they are still the owners and are paying all the bills until the sale is complete. If you plan on selling your car to someone in a couple of months do you ask them to pay for an oil change now?

      1. That’s not how it works in sports pal. Your analogy doesn’t make any sense. Elliot are still 30% owners and have seats on the board.

      2. Not a valid analogy. This is sports – totally different than your car analogy lol. Not how it works. Plus Elliot are still 30% owners of the club even after the official sale. So your way off

  1. Same old story, even M&M went on a failed excursion because of him, and here we are still roaming around. Even though we haven’t made any signings this mercato.

  2. If true this transfer would have already happened. They would have given M&M the 35M to get this done. More BS more drama. Terrible. We have so many other holes to fill (CB RW DM LB) aside from CAM position whether we get CDK or not. Champions of Italy and thus far one free signing while our competition has strengthened tremendously. Less than 3 weeks before season starts. This feels like a scripted TV show. Build up all this drama and Elliot comes to the rescue last minute and gives the final 2-3M to sign CDK and we as fans will be forever grateful LOL. Then what?? Is our Mercato over. It’s a joke. So many other needs to fill. Big clubs don’t operate this way they just get $hit done.

  3. Yeaah!
I guess it will be a big surprise for no big name came, even the main target will be lose…
    Lol.. demmn capitalist profit-seeker.

  4. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
    Very funny
Why? Why on earth would Elliot do that? If they were going to make a large signing like that, they would already have done it, to increase club value and make larger sale price.
