There is a lot of excitement and curiosity surrounding AC Milan’s potential takeover by Investcorp, but the idea of any big spending sprees should reportedly be ruled out.
According to il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) this morning, in the event that the sale of Milan to Investcorp should go through, a policy without any financial limits such as that of PSG or Manchester City can be ruled out.
Even though they are clubs who also ended up in the hands of owners from the Middle East, Investcorp are a fund that manage other people’s money and therefore the attention to the accounts will remain very high.
It will not be too dissimilar to the way that Elliott Management have run the club in theory, but what exactly it means regarding spending in the transfer market and the investment in other areas remains to be deciphered in the coming weeks.
