AC Milan and Paolo Maldini have both been fined after an incident which happened during the away match against Bologna back in July.
The Rossoneri prevailed 3-0 in the game at the Stadio Olimpico back on July 4, but it has been confirmed via a statement from the FIGC that technical director Paolo Maldini and team manager Andrea Romeo came into contact with the officials without wearing the ordinance mask.
In addition, both entered the referees’ locker room at the Olimpico despite thing being prohibited post-sanitation.
It is a lapse in judgement that will cost Maldini a hefty fine of €9,000 which will have to be paid to the FIGC, for objective responsibility, while Milan will owe €3,000.
It is unknown why Maldini and Romeo were in contact with the officials nor why they went to the officials’ room at the stadium, as there were no real controversial incidents against Milan in that game.
