AC Milan’s accounts are improving when it comes to transfer business but there is still a way to go before the desired results are achieved, a report has outlined.
Il Sole 24 Ore (via MilanNews) this morning have taken an in-depth analysis of sales and depreciation on the transfers of players of the top Italian clubs, namely those who have participated in the Champions League in the last five seasons.
The paper underlines how the accounts for every team are in the red except for Atalanta. Milan, compared to the five other teams, recorded the lowest proceeds from the sale of their players: €134.6m euros from 2018 to 2022.
However, there is some good news: in the last two years the depreciation has gone down from €114.5m in 2020 to €70m in 2022. It is a well known fact though that Milan must get better at selling players given Gianluigi Donnarumma, Franck Kessie, Hakan Calhanoglu and Alessio Romagnoli all left for free.
