Bianchin: Fonseca’s Lyon considering Torriani move – the solution that could tempt Milan

AC Milan will hope Lorenzo Torriani continues developing after another superb performance last night. However, it may be out of house.

There is a need for players to develop, and with a young goalkeeper, who is above the Milan Futuro, it is difficult. Right now, Torriani is being touted as the Rossoneri’s third-choice option, but he could go elsewhere and be competing for the starting shirt.

For this reason, it is difficult to assess how to move with the goalkeeper. After all, he has the skills to do well as a number one in the future for the Diavolo. So, there will probably be no interest in losing the ‘keeper permanently.

Lyon on Loan?

This will not stop interest, though, and Luca Bianchin reports that there is an opportunity in France. As the Gazzetta dello Sport journalist writes, Paulo Fonseca – who launched the youngster last summer – wants to bring him to Lyon.

Right now, a loan proposal is only being considered, something which could appeal to the Diavolo, who would retain ‘control’ with his future. Negotiations are yet to develop, but with the possibility of competing for a starting role, it could be substantial for his progression.

A big decision needs to be made by the club, and with Pietro Terracciano’s signing, there is certainly the scope for it.

  1. Possible. Lyon is having a yard sale, everyone is for sale. So they’ll have to get in some loans to fill the team.

  2. This kid needs to play, any delays will hurt his progress. I’m convinced he’s the future of Milan over the other youngsters we have

  3. I wish Milan values and know how to protect their own prospects for huge capital gain like other European clubs o Argentina and Brazilian clubs

  4. I think they should follow the Camarda route and add bonuses that will encourage the team that takes him to play him. Torriani is the keeper of our future so it would be great to send him out to get more playing time experience. Magnian is at the end of his tenure with Milan so they need to be smart.

  5. Rather loan him to a club where he would start regularly than competing with a number one choice at a club not incentivized to prioritize minutes for him

  6. It had better better be a dry loan. I think Torriani has a lot of talent and could be a good replacement for Maignan when he leaves on a free in 2026. If Lyon manage to actually buy him, even if there is a buy-back clause, I think we won’t see Torriani again. He’ll probably end up at PSG replacing Donarumma!

  7. With maignan on his final contract, Milan should play torriani elsewhere. So next season, he will be ready
