FootMercato: Milan send bid for midfield starlet as Man Utd and Monchengladbach join race

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face competition in the race to land Kouadio Koné this month but have already launched a bid, according to a report.

We reported via our correspondent Pietro Balzano Prota that ilan have accelerated their pursuit of Toulouse’s Kone because they believe him to be the right reinforcement and because competition is growing.

There are four factors that led to this decision: the need for a midfield reinforcement, the belief in the player, the fear of fierce competition and the difficulties of Rade Krunic. This has led Milan to accelerate an operation that was born with the idea of a loan with an option to buy.

According to what is being reported by FootMercato (via R1F on Twitter), Milan already made an offer for Koné in an attempt to bring him to the San Siro before the end of the month.

However, as we anticipated there is competition to land the talented teenager as Manchester United and Borussia Monchengladbach are also in the running.
