Pierre Kalulu was one of the big breakouts for AC Milan in the Scudetto this season but this past campaign wasn’t as joyful for the youngster. In the meantime, three Premier League clubs have enquired about him.
Kalulu formed a very good partnership with Fikayo Tomori in the heart of the defence during the Scudetto season. Both the Frenchman and the Englishman, however, failed to replicate their great highs this past season.
Simon Kjaer got the nod ahead of Kalulu a few times and Malick Thiaw’s success also led to some starts on the bench for the former Lyon man. According to Footmercato, therefore, three Premier League clubs have enquired about his situation.
Milan are not keen on selling the player, per the report, but could consider an offer in the region of €30m. It would result in a fantastic capital gain, given that he arrived for around €1m, but the Rossoneri also know that he could be important for the future.
Kalulu should replace Calabria as RB.

We are selling our YOUNG, PROSPERING players, who have long contracts with LOW SALARY. We do this while we are not able to buy anyone…
You could see Tonali from a different perspective: he could have been a 70m player who was contracted with us long term with 2,5m whatever salary. And what do we do? We sell him. I am so diapoointed in how things are evolving.

This is still a sale I don’t want but would have been a better one than tonali. RBs are nowhere near as expensive as and we already have cover in that area with Calabria so wouldn’t need to spend a lot for a depth option whereas with the Tonali sale we have to get very high quality players to even try to replace him so we won’t even make much in the end.
@Zoro Caloro agreed, if Tonali hadn’t been sold and we wanted to up our budget for areas deemed more important, I could have just about understood this sale.
Now it seems we sell young players (who might be worth even more money in a few years) rather than the dead wood whose value will likely only fall. Kalulu is useful with potential but at least is not a nailed on starter.

We’ll probably need to play calabria and cdk as defence midfileders at this rate. Kalulu has had some great games as RB. When calabria is good hes bloody good though! But definitely had some terrible games last season but then not all his fault. Pioli refusing to change tactics in January. Very worried about next season. At the moment it looks like we’ll be out of europe. Bologna will probably be above us. And like some have said before we’ll sell all our great players next season with no prize money coming in 🙃 meanwhile cardinale is investing money in a F1 team 😂
He was worth almost 50 mil last year. That is amount they need to ask if anyone wants to buy him.
his value is 30 mil but if an offer of 50 mil arrived i would have considered selling him and it certainly would have been far better than selling tonali.

It’s a shame no one wants Tomori. Mazzocchi can play both flanks, he’s Italian and would only cost around €20 million. If we could sell Kalulu and bring in an Italian, I’m all for it.
