Four Milan players must be careful as suspension is one yellow card away

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have just three games left of the season and as things stand, they are two points ahead of city rivals Inter. They have to give it all in the games that remain, but four players will have to be a bit careful.

The players in question are Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Alessio Romagnoli and Brahim Diaz. They are all just one yellow card away from receiving a one-game suspension, which would obviously be a blow for Stefano Pioli.

Given Tomori and Kalulu’s partnership at the back, it would be far from ideal to be without one of them. The nightmare scenario, of course, is that two of the centre-backs get booked (or perhaps even all three of them) as it would force Pioli to experiment.

While they will have to be careful and try to avoid a booking, it’s not something that they can think about too much as Milan need the maximum dedication in these final games. After Hellas Verona, scheduled for Sunday, they will face Atalanta and Sassuolo.

  1. I’d fancy starting Kalulu and Tomori for first half but then bringing on Romagnoli in the second so that if one of them gets yellow against atalanta and we miss them against sassuolo we have romagnoli to rely on if we at all need him.
