GdS: Friendly against Arsenal provides important chance for two struggling forwards

By Oliver Fisher -

After a couple of days of training in Dubai at the Police Club, AC Milan will play the first of their two friendlies while in the UAE as they take on Arsenal today.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports this morning, Stefano Pioli will still have to do without several important players who are either recovering from injury, at the World Cup or on vacation after playing for their country.

However, it is still an important test for several players, such as Yacine Adli and Divock Origi. The former will act as an attacking midfielder and will certainly want to give more positive signals after the excellent goal scored against Lumezzane a few days ago at Milanello.

The young Frenchman is at a crossroads and has yet to decide whether to stay with the Rossoneri and play for his place or go out on loan for six months to accumulate minutes and experience.

Origi meanwhile had a rather disappointing first part of the season influenced by various physical problems, but the Belgian centre-forward wants to return to being decisive as he was Liverpool, but to do so he needs to be in top form.
