Simon Kjaer is doing his bit to try and ensure compatriot Mikkel Damsgaard joins him at AC Milan, according to a report.

Damsgaard has been repeatedly linked with a move to Milan over the past couple of days as he continues to give excellent performances in this European Championships with Denmark after a bright breakthrough season for Sampdoria, attracting the attention of the top European clubs.

According to what is being reported by the Spanish newspaper Sport (via PianetaMilan), Barcelona have set their sights on the 20-year-old winger, but so have English clubs such as Tottenham and West Ham. Milan are also keen though and are a club that already has a Dane in the squad: Simon Kjaer.

According to the Danish source Ekstra Blade’, the Rossoneri defender and captain of Denmark is trying to convince Damsgaard to join him at Milanello. It will be an interesting summer for the former Nordsjaelland star.
