From England: Crystal Palace fear bids from Milan and PSG for €55m-rated Zaha

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been joined by Paris Saint-Germain in the race to land Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, according to a report.

The Sun reported earlier in the week how Milan see Zaha as a ‘great addition to a squad’ that could potentially win the Scudetto and put an end to the dominance of Juventus in Serie A.

The paper also claimed that the Rossoneri are also ‘not concerned with his age’ as they believe him to be ‘in his prime and ready to contribute immediately’, with a bid being considered for the £50m (€55m) man.

Now, the same source are claiming that Milan might not be the only giants looking to sign the Ivorian as Mauricio Pochettino would like him at PSG, where he is expected to take over imminently.

Pochettino will be given a big budget to spend straight away and has already been linked with moves for his former Spurs stars Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, the paper claims, while Palace believe the Argentine will go back in for Zaha.

The player, for his part, has made no secret of his desire to test himself again at the highest level even if the south London club do not went to sell.

The 28-year-old has eight goals and two assists in just 14 matches this season for Palace, having played the centre-forward role more predominantly.

  1. Seems a very unlikely story conjured up by the media. Only way Milan would spend that kind of money would be an established Serie A star (eg Belotti) or a young player with huge potential. Zaha is a decent player but linking him to Milan with that price tag is nonsense.
