From England: Spurs earmark Milan-linked Torino star as possible replacement for Kane

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face competition from Tottenham in the race to sign Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to a report from England.

It is now seemingly common knowledge that Milan are in the market for a new striker this summer given that the injury problems Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to suffer shows he cannot be solely relied upon to lead the frontline, especially when considering the struggles of Rebic, Leao and Mandzukic in replacing him.

Belotti is one of the players who has been linked the most given he is a boyhood fan of the club and has double figures in Serie A goals for six straight seasons now.

According to the British newspaper the Daily Mail (via Calciomercato.com), Belotti is on the list of possible replacements for Harry Kane, who has asked to leave the club as their trophy drought continues. There are however some other names such as Patrick Bamford of Leeds, Danny Ings of Southampton, Ivan Toney of Brentford and Patson Daka of Red Bull Salzburg.
