AC Milan have been given a big boost in their pursuit of two Marseille stars, reports claims, but they face competition to land both.
This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanLive) reported that Jordan Amavi is one of four alternative targets Milan have lined up to reinforce the full-back department given Junior Firpo probably won’t join from Barcelona.
According to L’Equipe (via Le10Sport), there is now a big chance that Amavi and Florian Thauvin will leave on free transfer at the end of the season and will not extend their contract at Marseille.
An offer has been made for the latter, but he is expected to decline it in favour of a new adventure. It is a serious blow for the Ligue 1 club who will see two important players go for free.
Le10Sport add that Thauvin is a target for Milan, Napoli, AS Roma, Sevilla and Leicester.
