Atletico Madrid are finally willing to lower their demands for forward Angel Correa, according to reports from Spain.
Correa has been widely reported as the primary target for Milan between now and the end of the mercato, and we recently revealed that personal terms have already been agreed with the Argentine.
The stumbling block in negotiations up until this point have been that Atletico Madrid are demanding €10million more (€55m) than the Rossoneri are willing to offer, which is €45m.
Diego Simeone did give Milan hope on Saturday when he hinted that Correa could leave the club this summer, and it was claimed earlier on Monday that the player himself is now pushing for an exit.
Now, a report on Calciomercato.com (who cite reports in Spain) states that Milan may finally be able to get a deal over the line as Atleti look set to lower their asking price.
Los Rojiblancos are apparently beginning to realise that Correa strongly wants to leave – and with the 24-year-old not in their plans they finally seem willing to facilitate his exit.
