AC Milan have found a pre-agreement with Hellas Verona over the signing of defender Matteo Lovato, according to a bold report from Spain.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) recently reported that the 20-year-old centre-back has ended up in crosshairs of the Rossoneri management, who are determined to sign a young centre-back in the January window.

Not only that, but the paper added that there has been first contacts between Milan and the management of Hellas Verona to scope out a potential deal.

According to the latest coming from Spanish outlet TF, Milan have reached a pre-agreement with Hellas Verona to close the signing of Lovato at the end of the season.

In doing so Milan have beaten the competition from their two biggest rivals Inter and Juventus, the report adds, and while there is no price tag mentioned the figure of €15m continues to be circulated in the media. We will see if any Italian sources follow up on this news.
