From Spain: Milan tell playmaker to put pressure on Real Madrid to boost chances of staying

By Oliver Fisher -

Some information regarding the future of Brahim Diaz has arrived from Spain, including a strategy that Milan could use in order to keep him.

Brahim arrived on a season-long loan from Real Madrid without an option or obligation to buy included as part of the deal, meaning that Milan must negotiate with Los Blancos if they want to keep the playmaker beyond the end of the current season.

According to Defensa Central, the Rossoneri management are currently pushing Diaz himself to start talks with the Real Madrid management and convince them not to forcibly bring him back ahead of next season. In theory, the club are hoping that the 21-year-old will express a desire to remain at Milan.

Milan have the aim of sitting down at the negotiating table with Los Blancos and evaluating either the idea of buying the playmaker outright or a renewal of the loan (perhaps with the inclusion of the future clause).

The decisive factor will probably be the talks towards the end of the season between Brahim Diaz and Zinedine Zidane, the Real coach, amid reports that the Frenchman is crazy about the player and wants him to replace Lucas Vazquez.
