From Spain: Zidane’s farewell could help Milan land €20m man from Real Madrid – the two options

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to open talks with Real Madrid over the possibility of keeping Brahim Diaz beyond the summer, a report claims.

Spanish outlet Don Balòn have given the latest update on the 21-year-old playmaker, confirming that Milan are about to start negotiating with Real for the player’s stay.

Zinedine Zidane would have liked to bring the Spain U21 international back to the Bernabeu in the summer, but the fact he is likely to leave the club at the end of the season means it won’t be his call.

Milan have two options to try to and keep Brahim, and the first is an outright purchase, with the former Manchester City man valued at around €20million by Real.

The second option is a loan renewal for the 2021-22 season, which could be more convenient for Los Blancos, given that in this way they would still have control of his future.

Soon, therefore, the first talks will take to evaluate the future of the Malaga-born forward. Milan are confident also given the good relations between Paolo Maldini and the Madrid management.
