AC Milan take on Atalanta tonight at the Gewiss Stadium hoping for a big win that might just relaunch their faint Scudetto hopes.

Milan make the short journey having won their last three games across three competitions against Slovan Bratislava, Empoli and Sassuolo. They scored 12 goals in the process including six in the most recent victory, so the attack is firing.

Atalanta are a completely different test with respect to the aforementioned sides, though. They have won eight on the bounce and are second in the league (they could go top for the time being tonight), while they have been doing well in the Champions League too.

As expected, the newspapers this morning have not held back in pointing out just how big a game this is for both sides.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Top spot or breakthrough. At 20:45, a Scudetto-worthy Atalanta-Milan. Sacchi: ‘Lookman and Reijnders decisive. Open game between Gasp and Fonseca’.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Pulisic at Gasp’s house. Fonseca aims for the comeback: last call in Bergamo.”

QS: “La Dea for the summit, Milan charge. Scudetto race: in Bergamo (8:45 pm) a big match worth double.”
