Gallery: ‘Inter, seen this Milan?’, ‘Milan make it 7’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan made it seven wins in a row across all competitions on Saturday afternoon by beating Lecce 3-0 at San Siro, and the Italian papers are full of praise.

Milan made a fast start thanks to goals from Christian Pulisic and Olivier Giroud, and when the away side went down to 10 men for a reckless high boot it effectively killed the contest. Rafael Leao put things beyond doubt in the second half.

Below are how the front pages of the Italian papers look…

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Diavolo line up a grand finale. Pulisic-Giroud-Leao: Milan fly. Pioli is not stopping: seventh in a row between Serie A and Europe, like in 2006. On Thursday the Giallorossi in the EuroLeague. Lecce rage reduced to 10.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Milan make it 7, Lecce furious. Show at San Siro (3-0). Pioli seals a seventh consecutive victory with Pulisic, Giroud and Leao goals.”

Tuttosport: “Inter, seen this Milan? 3-0 against Lecce, 7th victory in a row: warning for the derby. Pulisic, Giroud, Leao: Diavolo in stunning form. Pioli: ‘Ready to challenge Roma in Europe’. And to ruin the Nerazzurri Scudetto party planned for the head-to-head.”

      1. Did you forgot that our players also received red card in some matches like against Roma, Lecce, Juve, Atalanta, and Genoa? But we managed to get draw or won some of those matches.

So, a win is still a win even if the opponent got a red card because of their own mistakes.

        1. that has nothing to do with our 7 games W run..

a win is a win but its important to factor in some stuff that happen in the games

      2. I don’t get why you always look at Milan through cracked lenses for some reason, man.

It’s a good run of form all the same and does wonders for players’ confidence. Especially as we head into Roma & Inter ties.

        1. Because people try to force a narrative that isn’t true.. it’s a good run, sure. It’s also true we were lucky af in 4 of the 7 games.

I’m probably being over analytical and should just enjoy good form but that’s not me. Enjoying stuff doesn’t sit well with people like me.
