Gallery: ‘Go all the way’, ‘Watch out for Rennes’ – Today’s front pages in Italy

AC Milan begin their 2023-24 Europa League campaign tonight at San Siro, hosting Stade Rennais in the first leg of their play-off round tie.

At the time of the draw Rennes were in 13th place on 16 points after 16 matches played. They finished second in their Europa League group behind Villarreal, trailing them by a point.

However, they have been perfect so far in 2024 having won every game and they have surged up to seventh in the league, making it a much trickier tie on paper.

Below are how the front pages of the main sports newspapers in Italy look on the day of the game…

La Gazzetta dello Sport“700 of these for Giroud. Europa League play-off: Milan-Rennes. He is playing his 700th game at club level.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Pioli: ‘Milan, the objective is the final’. Coach launches the challenge against Rennes: ‘This cup is missing from our trophy room, an extra reason to go all the way’. Space for Leao in the trident with Giroud and Pulisic.”

Tuttosport: “Milan, watch out for Rennes.”
