Igli Tare and Giorgio Furlani have both revealed what struck them regarding the new head coach of AC Milan, Massimiliano Allegri.

Widespread reports speak of Allegri being fired up and ready to show the rest of Serie A that he can revive Milan after a disappointing season. Some transfer business will of course follow, but the bonuses in his contract suggest an instant Scudetto aim.
Allegri earns rave reviews
The new sporting director was present in front of journalists at Casa Milan at a press conference to answer questions about the plans for 2025-26 and beyond. Among the topics he was asked about included the decision to hire Allegri.
“After my arrival there was this need to intervene immediately. From the first contact I had with Allegri I perceived that he cares a lot about this club: he had a very deep knowledge of the problems of this team,” he said.
“I am in contact with him daily, even more than 4 or 5 times a day. He is aware of everything we do for the team. We only spoke about characteristics and opportunities that come up every day. His system is very clear: first there are certain roles and then the rest will be completed at the end of the market.
“Thanks to a blitz by me and Giorgio [Furlani] in Lugano where we had a long meeting together with Max, we made sure that in 48 hours he made a quick decision and accepted this project of ours.”
Furlani spoke alongside Tare and he too was quizzed on what the first impressions of Allegri are, giving very positive feedback.
“I was struck by his knowledge of Milan, his knowledge of the Italian league and the fact that he has objectively won the most in Serie A,” he said.
“He has enthusiasm, he has knowledge of Milan and the club, a great desire to do well this year. Before starting, Tare said that Allegri was the man to start again and to bring Milan back to where it should be.”
