GdS: Future of Rebic closely linked to that of Leao – summer sale cannot be excluded

By Oliver Fisher -

The future of winger Ante Rebic could well be closely tied to that of his team-mate Rafael Leao, according to a report.

Rebic has been battling injuries for large parts of the last couple of seasons and has failed to make the kind of impact that he did in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 campaigns in which he netted double figures in goals across all competitions.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are a number of different players that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara must work out the future of ahead of the summer and among them is Rebic.

The fate of the Croatian closely linked to that of Leao, because if the Portuguese winger were to leave then Rebic would almost certainly stay. However, if Rafa renews, Milan could put the former Eintracht Frankfurt man up for sale.

Too many physical problems have affected his ability to contribute and he has taken an excessively long time to reach optimal form, which is why the decision may be made to sell.

      1. THE NEW PLAYER OBVIOUSLY
If we sell Leao and Rebic stays we will be in the same place as we are on right now with Mesias and Sale. And if we dont sell Leao again we dont need Rebic. And if you ask about names i cant give you, Moncada will find someone but i can tell you that who ever that is cant be worst then Rebic.

  1. Sell both.
I believed Rebic could be transformed into a good CF for the long term. But as things currently stand , we need to let go of him unfortunately. Together with many others.
