Mediaset: Gabbia and De Ketelaere among players to get a chance against Torino

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will be looking to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia tomorrow by beating Torino, and some team news has emerged.

According to what Claudio Raimondi has told SportMediaset (via MilanNews), the only injured player that Stefano Pioli will get back is Junior Messias, who should return to play from the first minute on the right wing.

Ciprian Tatarusanu will still be in goal, while Sergino Dest and Matteo Gabbia should come into the defence. Sandro Tonali will certainly be in the middle of the field as he will be disqualified on Saturday in Lecce, and alongside him Tommaso Pobega should come in to let Ismael Bennacer catch his breath.

Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao should get the nod to start in attack, while Olivier Giroud will get some rest. Charles De Ketelaere is ahead of Marko Lazetic in terms of being favourite to start at centre-forward.

  1. Well, this is pretty sure to be a loss. The last time he tried the Tonali- Pobega midfield we got bossed all over the pitch. And CDK at CF? As long as we are not even trying to win they might as well give Leao and Theo a rest too.
