This afternoon, photos have been released of Matteo Gabbia at the PUMA House of Football awarding a prize on behalf of AC Milan.
Being a captain of a football club extends past wearing an armband. It is the characteristics and visibility of said player that make Gabbia widely recognised by supporters as a prime candidate when the time is right.

In a bad season, the Italian has regularly been there to speak on behalf of the club while displaying attributes that many associate with a Milan captain.
Today, the latest example has been shown. At the House of Football, Gabbia was present on behalf of the club to hand out the winners of the ‘Milan Gentile’ award to some youngsters who stood out for their kind gestures.
However, he also met with a wider group of players, showing his personality further. A credit to the club, indeed, as can be seen below.
