AC Milan have considered making a move for Mauro Icardi to replace Santiago Gimenez, but now the reverse might be considered by Galatasaray.
Gimenez’s time at Milan has seemingly been heading towards an end, and there have been many options linked to replace him. After a lot of deliberation, Niclas Fullkrug will arrive as an aid for the frontline.

However, the Mexican could also stay in Italy, with the sale of Christopher Nkunku not to be ruled out. The Frenchman has not impressed in his first six months, and he could make an exit.
Considering that Gimenez has now had surgery, he will be out until after the mercato closes, which is also off-putting for many potential suitors… or is it?
Gimenez to Gala?
As Calciomercato.com reports, Galatasaray are looking for a striker, given Icardi wants to leave the club, and they could look at the club which has been considering the Argentinian.
The report suggests that El Bebote is in their crosshairs, and they believe he can support Victor Osimhen. However, a lot depends on his physical condition after his surgery, but if assurances can be given, he would be considered for a move.
Galatasaray, as Fanatik reports (via the same article), are not in a rush, so they can certainly wait until he is almost ready to return. It is not one for the start of January, but perhaps the end.
This would be a good move for Milan because we need a clinical striker with Serie A experience. Fullkrug is a gamble but if both Fullkrug and Icardi arrives then Milan will definitely challenge for the scudetto. This would be a huge game changer with a new and experienced CB like Skriniar.

Given out Gimenez and keeping Nkunku would be a big mistake. The guy is young and works hard for the team. Nkunku on the otherhand is invisible on the field and just costed the management 40 million. If they want to make anything close to this amount which is doubtful he needs to leave now.
I think it’s harsh to say Nkunku doesn’t work hard for the team. My eyes tell me they’re of the same character woefully out of form and confidence.
Nkunku has a shared highest gross salary pr. year at 11.5 mil with Rabiot whereas Gimenez has 5.7 mil gross pr year. I know who I’d rather can and it surely isn’t the Mexican as he actually does put in a reasonable workload even if not managing to score. Nkunku pretty much just wander around looking uninterested for the majority of time.
Either way Gimenez is not gonna get sold while injured so the soonest it might happen will most likely be in the summer if that at all.
Maybe he knows that he’ about to be sold.

😀 Well I seriously hope he would oppose it as I’m sure he can still come good and start bagging some goals before the end of the season. Either way I prefer him in our squad rather than Nkunku.
He in fact scored goal vs lecce in the start of season when he’s on form, but it was disallowed since then he’s flopped, dunno after winter break next month.

I think no matter what Tare does, even if they are brilliant moves someone here will eat apple remains. This is really pathetic, in fact why don’t you find another team to support, like Inter as I am sick of this negativity. May I remind you that we are second in the lague, and have no other competition other then Serie A? Our goal was to qualify for CL, this is beyond wildest dreams how well the team is doing.
You reach is only as high as you aim. If your only aiming for champions league that’s what you will get. You just said we are second and one point away so why not aim for the Scudetto? We have a good base only missing a defender and this team can fight until the end. We are only playing one competition and if our players remain healthy we have a shot.
Not going to happen because Gala is not going to take a striker they can’t use for two months, but it would have been lovely. Icardi scores goals, period. Nkunku and Gimenez out, Icardi and Fullkrug in, would be fantastic. Then Fullkrug goes back to West Ham in June and in comes Vlahovic. Next season it could have been Vlahovic, Icardi, Leao and Pluisic up top. Pretty good strike force if you ask me. Then as Vlahovic and Icardi are expiring in 2-3 seasons we could have Camarda and this new Serbian dude ready to go. At least that’s the day dream…
