Luka Jovic continues to remain out of action for AC Milan, and the idea of a January move is beginning to gain momentum.
Milan extended Jovic’s contract in the summer, but since making the decision, it has seemed increasingly like a mistake. He has played just 78 minutes of Serie A action so far, meaning the No.9 shirt has barely been seen on the field.
Indeed, the Serbian has in fact been struggling with back pain and during the international break he has apparently been seeing a specialist about it in Belgrade. The hope is to resolve the issue and get playing again, though whether that will be for Milan remains to be seen.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via MilanPress), the former Real Madrid man could leave during the January transfer window in the direction of Galatasaray, who are looking for a striker after Mauro Icardi’s rather serious injury.
The Turkish club have already taken steps towards the deal by making enquiries with the striker’s agent Fali Ramadani. In the next few weeks things should become clearer, including Jovic’s condition and the potential formula that the operation might be, given his deal runs until June 2025.
