Gallery: ‘Scent of the Scudetto’, ‘Milan fly’ – Today’s front pages of Italian papers

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan took a big step towards winning the Scudetto last night as they came from a goal down to beat Hellas Verona 3-1 at the Bentegodi.

The Rossoneri went a goal behind when Lazovic crossed for Faraoni to head home but Verona could not see the lead into half-time as Rafael Leao squared for Sandro Tonali to equalise. The birthday boy got a brace when the Portuguese winger squared for him against just after the break, and Alessandro Florenzi’s late half-volley wrapped up the win.

La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Scent of the Scudetto. Milan euphoria, comeback in Verona. Leao (two assists) and Tonali (two goals) are stellar. Florenzi on target too.”

Corriere dello Sport: “Hands on the Scudetto. Milan win in Verona (3-1) and 180 minutes from the end are 2 points above Inter.”

Tuttosport: “Leao and Tonali, Milan fly towards the Scudetto. 3-1 comeback win – so much for Fatal Verona.”
