MN: Gazidis could leave Milan if Investcorp take over – the profile to replace him

By Oliver Fisher -

If Investcorp take over from Elliott Management as the owners of AC Milan then the hunt for a new Chief Executive Officer would be on, a report claims.

MilanNews report how the increasingly probable arrival of Investcorp at the helm of Milan has rightly opened question marks on the Milan management who currently have a job, but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are expected to stay on as per all the information that has filtered so far.

However, the report hypothesises that Gazidis could well leave his post as CEO given his links to Elliott and of course the ongoing battle against cancer. If he does go, it will be essential for the new ownership to find a replacement who can deal with the many issues in front of Serie A, UEFA and also with the European Club Association.

A new CEO would have to be an internationally appreciated profile of great standing, who can best integrate with Maldini and Massara, so the name of Umberto Gandini – current CEO of the Serie A Basketball League – is put forward as a fitting profile.
