Gazidis thanks Milan players, staff and journalists for their work in touching Christmas message

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis spoke to the journalists who attended Stefano Pioli’s pre-match press conference to spread a festive message.

Milan go into the final game of 2020 knowing that a win against Lazio will see them keep their position at the top of the league heading into the new year.

Milan are somewhat of a wounded beast heading into the game as a number of key players will be missing once again, but the team will be looking to kick on from Sunday’s 2-1 win away against Sassuolo and sign off a fantastic year on the best possible note.

So while the feeling is very much one of determination, it is also the season to spread good will. Gazidis gave a short video call with all the journalists, the coach and all the AC Milan employees to thank them and wish them a Merry Christmas.

“Thank you all, I am very happy to be here with you and to see you, even if only virtually for now. I hope it will be possible to be together soon,” he said (via MilanNews).

“First I would like to thank you for your professionalism and attention towards our club. I believe that it is important to have a transparent, balanced and fair relationship. Very often it is not easy for us to manage the complexity of a club, a company and a brand like Milan. I think we are making a journey of great value together.

“The year was very exciting for the club and for the two teams on the pitch, the male and the female. Two very close teams who work with commitment and determination, who know how to react to difficulties difficulty.

“It gives me pride, the same pride that I hope our fans have. We are facing a difficult path but all together with our daily work we will be able to make our aspirations, and perhaps even our dreams, concrete.

“Finally, I want to thank all my colleagues in the Milan communication team, who are constantly dedicated to informing you and spreading our values and our projects. Our work is facilitated by many born communicators such as Stefano, Paolo and Ricky.

“Our path is shared and we hope it will be appreciated by all of you together with our style, the Milan style. Best wishes to you and all your loved ones for a Merry Christmas despite the restrictions. Merry Christmas and see you soon.”
