GdS: Adli not convinced by prospect of Saudi move – Premier League interest remains

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli is not convinced by the prospect of moving to a team in the Saudi Pro League but there is still in interest in him from the Premier League.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the French-Algerian midfielder has been the subject of plenty of interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, as well as a team in Qatar this summer.

Unfortunately for them, and perhaps Milan given their market ambitions, Adli has no interest in leaving Europe right now and will not be forcing a move of that nature.

Adli has seemingly not impressed Fonseca in the way that he might have hoped during pre-season and with the likes of Youssouf Fofana and Lazar Samardzic still being pursued by Milan for the midfield, it seems there will be very little space in the team for Adli.

Despite that, he seems determined to fight for his future at Milan. The reported interest from two clubs in the Premier League could change the situation though.

Milan would be able to put any transfer fee received for Adli to good use given they intend to sign at least three more players, perhaps even four more.

  1. Signing more than 4 players may do more harm to the team than good.

Getting the Fofana or DM should be the main priority. Even if there is no more signing after that, I believe the futuro players will be very much useful.

    1. We still need to offload some midfielders because if fofana come we will have 6 players (7 including RLC) for that 2 positions
