Rafael Leao has detailed his demands through his entourage for the extension of his contract with AC Milan, according to a report.
According to what was written this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it), Leao remains at the centre of complicated negotiations regarding his renewal with Milan, given that his contract expires in 2024 and Chelsea expressed their interest in the summer window that has just closed.

The Portuguese winger asks for a sum of no less than €7m net per season to extend his contract with the club and the payment of the full compensation that the court has imposed he must pay to Sporting CP, with the total fine €16.5m plus a bit extra.
That is a substantial outlay for Milan that could potentially exceed €60m given the €10.5m gross per year (with Growth Decree) of salary and the amount of the fine. The parties will continue to negotiate and in the coming weeks an agreement could be reached given the firm will of the parties to somehow find a deal that satisfies everyone.
It would cost at least 60m to get another player of his caliber through the front door. Just lay the man!

60 million is far less than what it would take to replace Leao with another Ballon d’Or contender. We won’t get another player like him, so I think it’s a no-brainer to pay whater is needed to keep Leao
Mickey is spot on. In the insane conditions of the current football market, I would say that for less than 75 – 80 M we would never get a replacement worthy of Leão.

Milan never learns their lessons well. It should have been Renew by 30th June 2022 or else just put on the market. Players declaring their love for the club means nothing these days. Next month the agent will ask for $100M package like Dollarman
I Think they learned pretty good. Signing Magic Mike was a total bomb. Hes a much better keeper for a top team. Meaning hes good in distributing the ball with hes feet.

Leao is a developing star. There is no question about it. The only question is how high can he go? He’s not there yet, which is why he needs to stay for now and continue growing. Pioli is a wizard at that.
Sign Leao. I know he’s costly for Milan’s structure but him and Theo on the left flank is, imho, one of the best in Europe. PERIOD.

Yeah, he can be given the 7million he’s asking for, but why should it be Milan to clear ALL his debt with his old old club…. There’s no sense in that! Thats greed from him and his agents…. I see this situation as a threat to Milan. If Milan must clear his debts, he has to agree on a reduced salary like 4million or so.

Absolutely. Leao illegally rescinded his contract and it’s not something that should be now used to hold a gun to the head of the club. If he wants to ask for 12m per season instead, fine, we wouldn’t be able to afford it but that’s a person who knows how much they need to make to pay their debts. But to ask the club to pay for it is almost an insult. My guess is that we’re seeing the last of Leao this season. Should have taken that 100m…

I think this winter is the deadline for this saga. Whether he stay or go to Chelsea. Just don’t make it longer so we don’t lose first-class players in free (again). All of us want him to stay, but we should still appreciate him if he go to Chelsea in big transfer fee, because it still gives us profit.
So Moncada should prepare the LW list. I don’t mind to lose Leao but in big transfer fee like 150M euros, but i hope we have others Napoli’s Kvara. We almost get Kvara if we don’t only focus on CDK in last summer transfer. Kvara was already at Moncada’s recommendations.

The problem is next summer Leao will enter in the last year of his contract so his value on the market will automaticly drop significantly. No one will pay 100mil for someone on an expiring contract. If Milan sold him this summer they would have had enough money to replace him with Kva from Napoli or Noa Lang and still had a bunch more to spend. Next year if he dosen’t renew and he is sold, the money will prob not even be enough to get some of the mentioned players.
It a bit too early for people to talk kvara, he might be good but at least, a season in the league with consistent performance would worth de talks
