GdS: All signs point of Ibrahimovic’s departure from Milan after social media hint

By Oliver Fisher -

Everything suggests that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will leave Milan at the end of the season, at least according to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The paper (via MilanLive) has analysed the Swede’s situation in detail amid rumours that his second spell with Milan could end after just a few months, with his current deal set to expire on June 30.

On Tuesday, Ibrahimovic posted an interesting message on social media: “If you don’t like playing with a winner, then don’t play.”

The explicit reference is to Micheal Jordan, the protagonist of the uber-popular Netflix series ‘The Last Dance’ – but La Gazzetta believes that it may also be aimed at Milan, especially with his future at such a crossroads.

Boban’s farewell as Chief Football Officer in addition the probably departures of Paolo Maldini and head coach Stefano Pioli suggests that there is no future for Zlatan at Milan.

He will soon meet Ivan Gazidis to discuss it, and the paper claims that even the club might not be willing to renew his contract.
