AC Milan have been left waiting for a response regarding Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s renewal but cannot wait too long, a report claims.
According to Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), everything is silent on the Ibrahimovic front despite the fact that the team will reconvene for the start of preseason on Monday.
The management expected a concrete and definitive response from Zlatan by now, but the Swede continues to bide his time. There is still optimism regarding the closing of the deal as the Rossoneri have raised their offer up to €6million net.
The problem of bonuses remains, unwelcome to Ibrahimovic who would rather have a higher fixed salary but very welcome instead to Milan.
Ibra has 24 hours to accept the contract extension before the Milanello gates reopen, but Monday’s meeting does not represent a deadline. Zlatan could also sign in the next few days, but one thing is certain: if at least a signal from the player does not arrive by tomorrow, Milan will have to start looking around.
