AC Milan would have a free run at Sardar Azmoun should they choose to accelerate for him but they currently have other priorities, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) writes that Milan have two profiles in mind for the centre-forward position: Armando Broja of Chelsea and Hugo Ekitike of PSG. The former has just recovered from an ACL injury, while the latter did not have a great season at PSG.
However, the are alternatives such as Luka Jovic, who could be allowed to leave Fiorentina but has scored just 13 league goals from the summer of 2019 to today.
Azmoun is a name that is being evaluated too. The 28-year-old Iran international has been at Bayer Leverkusen since the beginning of 2022 and has struggled to recreate the same form as he did at Zenit.
Bild wrote of an agreement between Milan and Azmoun over personal terms, while the striker will probably leave Leverkusen in the next 10 days.
The certainty is that Azmoun is ready to do everything to come to Milan and if it were up to him he would move right away, but at the moment there is nothing between Milan and Leverkusen and certainly no agreement.
“…while the latter did not have a great season at PSG.”
Yes, not far from Giroud in G+A per 90 minutes, when he didn’t have a great season.
Of course he would when he’s mediocre. Maybe Genoa might be more his speed? Or Monza? Somebody call Galliani.
It will not gonna happen. Azmoun isn’t meet ACM transfer policy, because he is 28 years old & hadn’t win many things.
I think Pioli will use Okafor for Giroud’s deputy and slowly introduce Colombo. Hopefully Colombo will had his moment this season, bloom after we bloomed Thiaw.
