The road to recovery has been long for Ismael Bennacer but there is light at the end of the tunnel and he could be back on the San Siro field in less than a month, a report claims.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Bennacer has not only completed the first phase of recovery, but he also has started quite literally running towards his return to the pitch, with a target of mid-December.
The aim was initially set for Bennacer to return to action in a red and black shirt in 2024. The training sessions he has had so far and the good feeling that he has means that the process has been accelerated.
Yesterday, for example, the Algerian started the training session with his team-mates and then continued with individual work while the others played the Primavera side in a practice game.
Once things like tackling have been tested in training, Bennacer will also be able to do it in real matches. The game against Atalanta on 9 December will probably be too soon, but the game against Monza eight days later is what he is aiming for.
