AC Milan director Zvonomir Boban had a phone conversation with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over the possibility of returning to the club, a report claims.
The Rossoneri have been linked with a move to bring the Swede back to the club in the January window, and speculation ramped up on Wednesday evening through reports in the Italian media after weeks of rumoured tentative interest.
Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it) stated that there was a meeting between agent Mino Raiola and the Milan leadership to discuss Ibrahimovic and in particular whether his requests are compatible with the club’s vision.
Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – are reporting that Boban spoke with the 38-year-old striker on the phone.
The paper reports that Ibrahimovic has promised to decide his future within a couple of weeks at the most, and that Milan’s offer will likely be a six-month contract with an option for one-year extension at €6m-a-year.
