GdS: Bologna express interest in Milan full-back and eye loan deal

AC Milan defender Fode Ballo-Toure is attracting interest from fellow Serie A side Bologna, according to a report this morning.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Bologna are hoping to bring Andrea Cambiaso back to the club on another loan spell from Juventus, but they are considering all the alternatives in case the Bianconeri say no.

Ballo-Toure is one of the players that is on their list, and while Bologna head coach Thiago Motta is not immediately convinced by the idea of signing the Senegalese full-back, decisions will be made when he returns to Casteldebole for the start of preseason.

The type of deal that Bologna would like to carry out is a loan, but the 26-year-old’s €2m net salary exceeds the maximum ceiling of €1.5m set by the Rossoblu for the next season.

Ballo-Toure made 10 league appearances for Milan last season plus four in the Champions League, having never really convinced Stefano Pioli as Theo Hernandez’s deputy.
