GdS: Chelsea and Benfica pair eyed as Rangnick wants to fix key area in Milan squad

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick is plotting a revamp in the AC Milan midfield ahead of next season, a report claims, with two targets highlighted to address a key issue.

According to the paper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri management have been tasked with finding a partner for Ismael Bennacer, the man Rangnick wants to build the midfield around.

Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura are expiring and will not renew, Lucas Paquetà and Rade Krunic are two question marks, while Franck Kessie.

The paper notes how Rangnick is therefore ready to implement a real revolution in midfield, where the first goal will be to find the ideal partner for Bennacer who will have to be a defensive midfielder with strong athletic skills.

The hottest names at the moment are Tiemoué Bakayoko – the former Rossoneri player now at Monaco (but on loan from Chelsea) and Florentino Luis from Benfica.
