GdS: Chelsea and Man City both keen on Leao – counterparts could be used

Chelsea and Manchester City are both interested in signing Rafael Leao from AC Milan and a swap deal could be proposed, a report claims.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com), the striker is asking for €7m net per year in order to extend his current deal with Milan – which expires in 2024 – with Paolo Maldini and the management willing to pay €6.5m.

That difference is bridgeable, but the problem is that the Portuguese winger wants the Rossoneri to contribute in some way to the €19m due to Sporting CP together with Lille.

With this stalemate, Chelsea are certainly on alert and they are willing to offer an amount worth €120m perhaps with some counterparts included to work out an exchange dea of some sorts.

The paper adds that Manchester City are also following the situation closely, so the Rossoneri must act decisively if they want to keep Leao.
