The latest idea for AC Milan in terms of attacking reinforcements is Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to a report.
Milan’s last match of the season is scheduled for Sunday evening against Atalanta and it will be a decisive challenge to see if the Rossoneri will secure a top four spot, which they would be guaranteed to do with a victory. In the meantime, however, the management are already starting to think about next season and in particular about the summer market.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are wanting a new centre-forward who can alternate with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the latest idea leads to Olivier Giroud, a 34-year-old striker whose contract is about to expire with Chelsea who could therefore move for free in a few weeks. The Blues player is not the only option for Milan who are clearly evaluating other tracks as well, but Giroud seems to be on the podium of favourites.
The Frenchman is asking for a €5million salary for at least two season and given the tax advantages, his salary does not appear too heavy for the club’s accounts, as the 50% tax relief would mean a €15m gross commitment. Obviously, the player’s intentions must also be understood because after struggles for playing time this season, Giroud wants a team in which he can play continuously.
Hahaha, 5 millions would be like 1 million per goal. Hell no! Giroud sucks balls. Don’t be dumb.
